Knob Cairn

Knob Cairn is a knight devote of Danka Rätsel, one of seven Disciples of the Free’er. His specialty is destruction but he’s an excellent investigator as well.

When the flow of information from the El’Hat study suddenly stops and her three turn coat Defenders disappear, Knob Cairn is sent to investigate. His journey winds from El’Hat to Thuma, following the West-East Transcontinental Railway all the way to Mammatus Plateau.

There he confronts two of our heroes. Cairn is undaunted by their attacks, swatting them aside effortlessly. If not for the intervention of Master’s Black Hill and Adara, he would have easily crushed them both.

Cairn has mastered the art of storing energy in both spirit and flesh, giving him super-human strength. In addition, by employing a novel use of gathered photons, Cairn can discharge a powerful concentrated burst of light with laser precision that sears holes clean through his victims. These arts along with a boon of healing granted by his master Rätsel make him a deadly foe by all standards.

After crossing paths with the nameless First Disciple of the Free’er he travels to Murder Beach in search of Malo. Instead, he finds Master Leonis Terius, the terror of Mammatus.

In a battle featuring the raw strength of Knob Cairn versus the training and discipline of Master Terius, only one will live to see victory in the final chapters of Monster Within.
