In this installment of The Return from Cataclysm Saga we see all the pieces move forward. Forces of the Free’er collude to destroy South Cenoka. Teum and Luscin reunite in El’Hat as pro-duelists and rescue a family pursued by a trio of traitorous Defenders.
Malo barely has time to enjoy his hero’s welcome before Headmaster Robles dispatches him on his Defender Practicum. Along the way he encounters train robbers, mountain dwelling War Born rangers, attends a Dead Dragon concert, and calls on the legendary Dragon of the Free’er.
The Monster Within causes Malo pain and heart ache at every turn as he loses two of his most cherished friends, is physically violated, and tormented past his breaking point.
Joined by Teum and Luscin, Malo proceeds to his next practicum assignment where an unconventional Defender of Mammatus lives in exile. It’s there, where two climatic battles conclude, confronting the Monster Within once and for all.
